William T. Darling, Ph.D. -- Executive Director

Dr. Darling is a graduate of Miami University with  a degree in psychology. He received his Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Southern Illinois University and his Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Administration from The Ohio State University. Governor Taft appointed Bill to the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, where he currently serves as the chairman of the employment committee. Prior to coming to AT Ohio, Bill was the president of Darling Rehabilitation, a rehabilitation counseling and consulting company. He also worked as a counselor and vocational expert for MEDVOC Management, Inc., an independent rehabilitation case management company. He also worked as a social worker for Southeast Community Mental Health Center. Dr. Darling erved two terms as the president of the Ohio chapter of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. He was recently elected to the Board of the Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs


Eric Rathburn -- Public Policy Director

Eric has served as Public Policy Director of Assistive Technology of Ohio since 2000. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a dual degree in Political Science and History. Eric has significant experience in Communications and Government Relations and serves as the program's coordinator of public relations and government affairs. Prior to joining AT Ohio, Eric was Deputy Press Secretary for then Speaker Jo Ann Davidson and the Majority Caucus of the Ohio House of Representatives. He also worked as Internal Communications Director and Press Assistant for former Governor George V. Voinovich. Eric currently serves as a board member of the for the Ohio Community Computing Network, a non-profit dedicated to bringing equal opportunity and equal access to computer and network technology. He also serves on the State Library Services to the Disabled Task Force and the SBC Consumer Advisory Panel. He also directs AT Ohio's Computer Redistribution and Recycling Program.



Gaye Spetka -- Program Manager

Gaye has been with the project since 2000. She manages the Device Loan Library and the Adaptive Toy Lending Library Program and serves as web editor for AT Ohio. She has a background in journalism and desktop publishing, having earned a BA In journalism from The Ohio State University. She has earned graduate non-degree credits in Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and successfully completed ATACP training through CSUN's Center on Disabilities, as well as Advanced Assessment Training through University of Nevada at Las Vegas and Riatt@NASDE.
